 Achieving the second place in Athletics Competition in Tunisia, 2010    [ 1389-04-14 ] [Times viewed : 47]
I.R.Iran Athletes with a Disability were able to achieve the Second place in Athletics Competitions in
Tunisia after winning 37 colorful medals.
On the final day of the 4th International Athletics Competitions in Tunisia, Iran`s delegates could achieve 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze medals; Iran totally won 37 medals.
Medal winners of the final day in Tunisia competitions are as follows:
Salman Abbariki won a Silver medal in Shot Put, class 34, Habibollah Naderlou won a Gold medal in Discus, class 58, Javid Ehsani Shakib won a Bronze medal in Discus, class 57, Mahdi Moradi won a Silver medal in Discus, class 57, Mohammad Ali Malekpour won a Silver medal in class 55, Jalil Bagheri Jeddi won a Bronze medal in Discus, class 55, Ali Mohammad Yari won a Gold medal in Discus, class 56, Mahdi Asghari won a Silver medal in Shot Put, class 42, Abdonnabi Navaser won a Gold medal in Shot Put, class 44, Ahmad Reza Kazemi won a Gold medal in 400 m, class 13, Fatemeh Montazeri Ghahjaverestani won a Silver medal in Shot Put, class 58 and Marzieh Sedghi Seghinsara won a Bronze medal in Shot Put, class 54. Furthermore, Ali Elahi achieved the 4th place in 5000 m, class 12, and Siamak Saleh Farajzadeh won the 6th place in Shot Put, class 34.
It is worth mentioning that, I.R.Iran`s team won the second place by gaining 16 Gold, 12 Silver and 9 Bronze medals among 28 participating countries.
Tunisia hosted the International Athletics competitions of the Athletes with a Disability which started on June 28th and ended yesterday.
